• No divine idols must be placed in the bedroom.
• No almirah should be placed in the bedroom. But if necessary use south-west corner for placing almirah.
• TV should be avoided in the bedroom. But if you need always keep it in the south-east direction and make sure it is not in front of your bed as it acts as a mirror. And no mirror should be placed just in front your bed as it is not good for health.
• The best direction for the doors and windows of the bedroom is North and east.
• As far as the color is concerned, for the bedroom usually light colors are preferred such as light-pink, light-rose, yellow, green, and blue. Avoid using black and red or say dark colors in the bedroom.
• Do not display pictures of war, cruelty, sadness, single bird, any animal and wild animals in bedroom.
• Use single mattress for the bedroom.

Vastu For Garage

One of the most ignored area while building up your house according to vastu is Garage. As when a home build up according to vastu brings peace, happiness and prosperity similarly when a garage built up according to vastu ensures long life of your vehicle and house residents. If the car is not parked in the right direction and vastu has been ignored while building up then may be again and again your vehicle will incur lot of expense for you.

So, make sure that your garage is also well planned according to vastu to bring positivity and good health. Following are the few tips that you should take care while building your garage.

• Ideally a garage should always be located in the southeast or northwest direction of your house.
• If you will park your car in the west side of the northwest located garage then, you have to undergo lot of traveling. Rarely your car will stay at home in your garage.
• If you park your car in the southwestern direction then, your car will rarely come out for usage and it will require minor repair works on regular basis.
• Floor of the garage should be inclined towards east or north direction.
• When designing the garage make sure that after parking the car some space is left inside. This ensures the free movement of air and light.
• The garage gate should open in east or north direction without any obstruction. And the height of the garage's gate should not be more than the height of the main gate of the house.
• Parking car in the north-east direction is strictly prohibited as this direction is for heavenly bodies and by parking your car in this direction you are blocking their way.
• If the car is in the basement then it could be parked in the north-east direction.
• Always park your vehicle facing east or north. This will ensure that your vehicle will never get worked up.
• If the car is parked facing west or south direction then, it may face fire hazards.
• Best color for garage according to vastu is white, yellow or any other light color.

Vastu For Locker Room

According to vastu the best location for placing the locker room is north direction. If its not possible then the next best direction could be east. North and east both ideally suits for locker room. It is the place where all cash and jewelry is kept. So, be sure that this room is well protected and is not visible to the people coming in the house.

The shape of this room should be rectangular or square. And height of this room should be same as of other rooms in the house. Some more vastu tips on locker room are:

• The locker or almirah should be placed in the south side of the room leaving the south-east or south-west direction of the room.
• The almirah should be placed as its back is towards south direction and faces towards the north wall of the room.
• Locker room should never be placed in north-east corner or south-west as it may lead to financial losses.
• Locker's placed in north-west or south-east corner may lead to unnecessary expenditures. It may increase the outflow then inflow.

• Locker room should be kept tidy and clutter free.
• Locker should not be placed under a beam.
• A mirror could be placed in the locker room to reflect the locker. It doubles your assets and increases your opportunity to gain wealth.
• Color scheme for the locker room should be yellow.
• A locker must never be placed in a corner.
• All valuable things must be kept in southern or western part of the locker.

Vastu For Pooja Room

While designing a house one should take care of Pooja Room. This is only place in a home from where all positive energies flows in the entire house and makes every one feeling relaxed and fully charged. This room should be designed very carefully as if placed in a wrong direction it will not effect our lives or our body in any way and we will not feel any positive energy flowing in the air. The best direction for a Pooja room is always North-East corner. If not possible it can be designed in North or East corner also. Other tips related to Pooja Room vastu are discussed below:

• While worshiping one should always face North or East direction.
• No idols should be placed in worship room. But if one places them then they should they should not be less than 2" and not more than 9".
• Idols should always be placed in east or west direction. They should never be placed facing North or South. Neither they should face each other.
• A Pooja Room should never be placed in a bedroom or on a wall that is adjacent to the bathroom.
• Lamp-stand should be placed in the South-East corner of the Pooja ghar.
• The best direction for the doors and windows of the Pooja room are North or East. There should not be any door closer.
• The doors and windows should not open or close automatically.
• The Agnikund should be in the South-East direction and the person offering the fire should face east while doing so.
• The color of the walls of the pooja room should be light yellow, white, or light blue.
• The flooring must be of off white or marble.
• One must not enter the pooja room without taking the bath.

Things to be avoided for pooja room according to vastu

• There should not be any bathroom above, below or adjacent the Pooja ghar.
• Pooja ghar should never be made in bedroom.
• In Pooja ghar no idol should be in the desecrated form.
• Pooja ghar should never be made above the gas stove or a sink or any electronic appliances.
• Items such as jewelry or money should never be kept hidden in the pooja room.

Vastu For Kitchen

Kitchen is the most important place in a house from where all positive energy prevails in every corner of a home. It is the place where all meals are cooked and meal is the most important factor that contributes to one's health. Hence, there can be no other place as important as kitchen in a house and while planning it proper vastu tips and techniques shout be taken with utmost care.

When comes to the kitchen vastu takes into consideration various things that should be properly placed to ensure safety in the kitchen. These various things could be location of kitchen, direction of doors and windows, placement of gas cylinder and cooking gas, sink, refrigerator, purifier and other electronic gadgets.

The most ideal place for the placement of kitchen is the South-East corner. The other alternative could be North-West corner of the house. Other useful vastu tips related to kitchen are discussed below:

• The best location for the entry door of the kitchen is North, East or West. It should not be placed in any of the corner's.
• Gas cylinder's should be placed in South-East direction and empty cylinder's should be kept in South-West direction.

• South-East direction is the best direction for placing Cooking Gas. While placing cooking gas keep in mind that there should be few inches gap between the walls and the gas stove. Also gas stove should not be in the front of the main door. And at last while cooking one should face east direction.
• Refrigerator should always be placed in the South-East, North, South or West direction. If southwestern direction is used for the placement of refrigerator, it must be a feet away from the corner.
• Northeastern direction should never be used for refrigerator.
• Western or Southern walls are best for storing racks.
• Sink should always be fitted in the North-East direction.  All water sources like filter or pitcher should be placed in north east direction only.
• All equipments like Heaters, Microwaves, Ovens, Toasters should be placed in South-East or south direction. North-East direction should never be used for this purpose.
• East direction is best for the windows and exhaust.
• Flooring of the kitchen should always be in Mosaic, Marbles or Ceramics Tiles.
• Kitchen walls should always be colored in Yellow, Red, Orange, Rose or Chocolate color. Black color should never be used in kitchen.
• South or South-West wall is best placing Clock in the kitchen.

There are few things that should be avoided while constructing kitchen according to vastu. They are:

• Kitchen should never be below or above the bathroom or toilet.
• The toilet and kitchen should never share common walls.
• Kitchen placed in North or North-East direction badly effects the person's career.
• Kitchen must never face the main entrance of the house.
• Stove in the kitchen must not be visible from outside.
• The Pooja Room or Temple should never be placed above the gas stove or a sink.

Vastu For Guest Room

In Indian methodology Guest are the foremost important persons as they are considered as "God". It is said that "Guest is God". So, according to this utmost care should be taken while designing and building up your guest room so that any guest coming to your house should feel at peace and refreshing.

In this room people comes from different places, of different races, environment and characteristics. Vastu helps in taking care that those guest should not interfere in home matters or dominate the one's living there. The best direction to place the guest room is the North-West corner of the house as this is the most unstable corner of the house. The other options for building up the guest room could be South or South-East direction. Along with this following things should be taken care like:

• Bed in the guest room should always placed in the South or West direction in a way that while sleeping the head of the guest should be in south direction. No sun beam should run over the bed.
• All electronics item should be placed in South-East wall and placements of Cabinets should be on South or West walls.
• The most ideal place to place the door of the guest room will be North-East direction such that it faces towards East. Other directions could be South-East facing South and North-West facing West.
• Windows of the guest room should be in the North-East corner if it is in the North-West corner.
• If the guest room is in the South-East direction then, windows should be either in the South or South-East corner.
• The most ideal colors for the Guest room includes white, Coral Red, or light shades of Pink.

Vastu For Toilet

Placement of toilet in a home is very important for the inmates living there in terms of their health and wealth. The wrong placement of toilet in a home directly effects the once who are living their and also the health of the head of the family.

A toilet should always be placed in either North-West direction or South-East direction. These two sides are the most appropriate directions for the construction or the placement of toilet. Toilet in the North-East direction adversely effects the health and prosperity of the family. Placement of the toilet in the South-West direction directly effects the health of the family.

While constructing toilet in this direction there are few other things too that should be considered very minutely. They are:

• The toilet seat should always be placed in either South to North directions or West to East direction.
• Mirrors should be placed in either North or East walls.
• The doors should always be in North-East or East walls.
• The paint of the toilet should never be in warning colors like red and black. It should always be painted with light hue colors.
